Dr. Eric Bautrant leads the team from Aix En Provence, France and is a surgical gynecologist that has performed over 300 decompression surgeries. Dr. Bautrant diagnosis and treats pudendal neuralgia through the trans-ischio rectal technique for surgical nerve decompression that he pioneered. This surgical technique spares the sacrotuberous ligament during surgery and also has the advantage of utilizing intra-operative nerve latency testing to ensure that the nerve has been decompressed to the maximum extent possible. Dr. Bautrant works closely with Dr. Eric deBisschop, a neurologist, who performs EMG studies pre-operatively as well as intra-operatively while Dr. Bautrant performs the decompression surgery.
